Rapid response to plumbing emergencies — burst pipes, active leaks, heating failures, and drain blockages. Submit your request and we'll prioritise your case.

What to do right now

While you wait for us to respond, these steps can help limit damage.

1

Turn off the water

Locate your main stopcock (usually under the kitchen sink or in the meter box outside) and turn it clockwise to shut off the water supply.

2

Turn off the heating

If the issue involves your heating system or a pipe connected to it, turn off the boiler or heating system at the programmer or thermostat.

3

Contain the water

Place towels, buckets, or containers under any drips. Move valuables away from the affected area to prevent further damage.

4

Document the damage

Take photos of the affected area before cleaning up. This may be useful for insurance purposes.

5

Contact your insurer

If water has caused damage to the structure or contents, notify your buildings or contents insurer as soon as possible.

6

Submit your request

Use our contact form, select "Emergency" urgency, and describe the situation. We will respond as quickly as possible.

If there is an active leak, locate your main stopcock (usually under the kitchen sink or in the meter box) and turn off the water supply. This will stop the flow while we are on our way. If the heating has failed in cold weather, use electric heaters as a temporary measure.
Emergency callouts outside normal working hours may carry a higher rate. This is always stated clearly in our response before we attend, so there are no surprises.
Yes. In some cases, a temporary repair is the most appropriate immediate response — for example, where materials need to be ordered. We always explain the situation and agree the approach with you.
A plumbing emergency is generally any situation where water is actively causing damage, where there is no water supply to the property, or where the heating system has failed in cold weather. If you are unsure, contact us and describe the situation.
